ED Type Silicon Carbide Rod

Silicon carbide rods, also known as silicon carbide heating elements, are mainly made from high-quality green silicon carbide as the core raw material. In the manufacturing process, techniques such as high-temperature silicification and recrystallization are employed, ultimately resulting in this type of rod-shaped non-metallic high-temperature heating element.

 

Compared with metal heating elements, silicon carbide rods have many prominent advantages. They can operate stably under relatively high temperature conditions, possess excellent oxidation resistance, and have good tolerance to various corrosive environments. Moreover, their service life is quite long, with minimal deformation during use, they are very convenient to install, and the subsequent maintenance work is also easy to carry out.

 

Based on these remarkable advantages, silicon carbide rods have been widely used in various high-temperature electric furnaces and other electric heating equipment in numerous industries, such as magnetic materials, powder metallurgy, ceramics, glass, metallurgy, and mechanical industries.

 

Among them, the ED type belongs to the standard silicon carbide heating element. It is a high-density self-bonded silicon carbide element. The ED type silicon carbide rods have a relatively large range of options in terms of diameter and length.
