M Type SiC Heating element

Chlorine gas (Cl2) reacts with SiC above 100 ℃, and completely decomposes SiC above 1200 ℃. The aging of silicon carbide rods. Silicon carbide rods are used for a long time at high temperatures, and due to the oxidation of the SiC surface, the SiO2 content in the components gradually increases, causing an increase in their resistance. This is a normal phenomenon called "aging". During the first 500 hours of use, the aging rate of the components is fast, and the aging rate is slow thereafter, mainly because the SiO2 film on the surface of the components slows down the oxidation of SiC. The aging rate of silicon carbide rods depends on the operating temperature and surface load density of the components. To maintain a constant power of the silicon carbide rod and achieve ideal furnace temperature, it is necessary to use corresponding voltage regulators to adapt to the increasing resistance of the components during use.
